Setting up
The wizard in detail, the two modes, and what can be picked up later and where.
The wizard
After signing up, a wizard walks you through the setup. It asks twenty-two questions, some of which drop out depending on the plan and the order types you picked.
Every step saves as you move on. Close the browser and you continue where you left off.
How long the setup takes depends almost entirely on the menu. Everything else is information you already carry in your head.
The wizard does not point you at the settings, it is them. Every question is answered where it is asked, and with the same control that later sits in the settings: the reservation step IS the reservation tab, the tipping step IS the tipping card, and behind the language choice sits the same translation editor as under Menu. No rebuild, no half version.
Exactly three links lead out of a step, and all three open a new tab: the table cards for printing, your finished ordering page, and the click-by-click guide for embedding it into your own website. The walkthrough itself stays where it is.
- Delivery area: only if delivery is switched on.
- Tables: only if table ordering or table QR is switched on.
- Reservations, stamp card, team and online payment: from the Pro plan up. On Starter the question is not asked at all, rather than showing a step with a grey “Pro and up” box.
- Register and forwarding, and the messages to the guest: in every plan. For the register, below Premium this is where you enter your kitchen inbox or your webhook; for the messages, email is included everywhere and only the SMS line is locked.
Guided or expert mode
There are two modes, top right. “Guided” asks one question per screen and is the way to go the first time. “Expert mode” shows the same settings as a control panel with a list on the left; that is the way for a second restaurant, or for someone who knows what they are looking for.
Both write into the same fields. Switching halfway through loses nothing.
What the progress bar counts
There is a percentage at the top. It counts answered steps, not filled fields, and a step counts as answered even when the answer was “leave it as it is”. That is deliberate: “no register, cash only” is a decision, not an omission.
The one exception is the menu. An empty menu is not a decision, it is a shop nobody can order from, and it stays open until there really is a dish in it.
Picking it up later
Everything from the wizard is afterwards in the dashboard under Settings, split across eleven tabs. Which tab holds what is in the chapter “The settings in detail”.
It is the same control, not a second one beside it. What was the “Design” step in the wizard is later the Design tab; changing something there changes the same field. That is why the wizard cannot show anything the settings are missing, and the other way round.
The wizard itself can be started again. The button for it is at the bottom of the settings; it deletes nothing, it simply walks through the same questions once more.
