Settings in detail
Eleven tabs, and what is in each one. The map for anyone looking for something.
Where they are
In the dashboard under Settings. Every tab is an address of its own, so it can be linked to and kept as a bookmark.
What is NOT there: plan and billing. Those belong to the person and not to the restaurant, and they sit in your personal account under /account/billing.
The eleven tabs
- Brand and storefront (/settings/brand): name, short name, logo, brand colour, address, the embed code for your own website and your entry in the marketplace in the app.
- Design (/settings/design): the look of the ordering page with a preview, so the layout of the menu, the header, the corners, the buttons and light or dark mode.
- Ordering (/settings/orders): which order types there are (pickup, delivery, table ordering, table QR), tipping at checkout, and what the four stages are called here.
- Times (/settings/hours): opening hours, separate delivery hours, special days, lead time, pre-ordering, the pause and the cap on orders per time slot.
- Delivery (/settings/delivery): the delivery area as rings, as drawn zones or by driving distance, the fee and the minimum order value per zone, named towns.
- Reservations (/settings/reservations): whether guests can book a table online, whether you confirm every booking yourself, the four times (how long a table counts as occupied, the grid, the lead and how far ahead), whether tables may be combined, the largest party online, and the embed code for your website. From Pro.
- Notifications (/settings/notifications): what the guest hears and through which channel. Email in every plan, SMS from Pro, plus the SMS credit.
- Stamp card (/settings/loyalty): the digital loyalty card, from Pro.
- Contact and legal (/settings/guests): contact details, the legal notice and ready-made text for the privacy policy.
- Tax & accounting (/settings/tax): the VAT rates per dish, per category and as the business default, plus your tax advisor's details for the DATEV export.
- Integrations (/settings/integrations): forwarding new orders to a kitchen email address or a webhook, the connection to a point of sale and the payment accounts.
Saving
There is no save button. The forms save as soon as you leave a field, and say so briefly at the top right.
The ordering page shows the change the next time it is opened. A guest who has the page open right now sees it after a reload.
Several people
A restaurant can have several accounts. Who has access is listed in the dashboard under “Team”; whoever created the restaurant is the owner and stays the owner.
You invite someone with their email address. They get a link, set their own password with it and are in the list afterwards. The link is valid for fourteen days and can be revoked.
There are five roles: Owner (everything, including plan and billing), Manager (everything except plan and billing), Front of house (orders, reservations, tables, kitchen display), Kitchen (kitchen display and orders) and Driver (deliveries only).
If no role fits exactly, you can switch individual areas on and off per person: Orders, Kitchen display, Deliveries, Reservations, Menu, Tables & QR, Numbers and visitors, Settings, Manage team and Plan and billing.
A driver sees deliveries and nothing else, with the address, the amount and whether it has already been paid. They can report a run as on the way and as delivered, nothing more. That is not a setting in the interface, it is a rule in the database.
Several people come with the Pro plan. Switching back to Starter does not take away the colleagues you already have, but you cannot invite new ones.
