Register and forwarding

Where a new order goes outside Flavoso: to an email address, to a webhook or into a point of sale.

Forwarding, in every plan

Every new order can also be sent to an email address or to a web address of your own. That is the way for everyone without a connected point of sale who still needs the order somewhere else: at the kitchen printer that listens for a mail, or in a system of their own.

Both sit under Settings, tab Integrations, and both are part of every plan.

The webhook gets the order as JSON, with line items, options, order type, time and guest details. If you want to build something with it, the shape is in the response of the test call.

The same “Integrations” tab, this time from the top. The first box is called “Point of sale (POS)” and holds both: the vendors to connect and, below them as “Own interface”, the fields for webhook URL and kitchen email. Without Premium the same box is called “Forwarding” and shows only those two fields.

Point of sale systems

ready2order, Square, Zettle by PayPal and SumUp are prepared, and the connection belongs to the Premium plan.

⚠️ None of those four can be used today. As long as no verified credentials are on file for a vendor, it shows in the dashboard as “on request” and has no connect button at all. That is deliberate: a button leading into an untested connection loses orders without anybody noticing. If you have one of these registers, get in touch and it gets set up together.

⚠️ The one connection that really runs today is the e-mail or webhook forwarding from the section above, and it is in EVERY plan. For an owner with a register that has no API, that is the connection.

For Gastronovi, Vectron and Lightspeed, or orderbird, the connection is planned but not usable yet. In the dashboard it therefore stands as on request: click it and you register your interest, and we build the most-requested connection first.

Connecting

Pick the provider in the dashboard, sign in with them, come back. From then on every order creates a transaction in the register.

What a point of sale does NOT do: it pulls no menu into Flavoso and pushes none the other way. The menu is kept in Flavoso.
